As a young teen Bert enjoyed drawing and paint-by-numbers as a form of entertainment and creative passion.  He took several art classes in college and continued classes with many good instructors over the years, including Mr. William Weaver and Mr. Ed Friend.  His normal path leans towards landscape work with much architecture and details.  He loves traveling with his wife and paints many of his pieces from his photographs, sometimes combining 3 or 4 themes to get a better result.  Mostly self-taught, Bert paints as a stress reliever and simply because it is an enjoyment for him.
