A Holiday Concert with the NCSO
On December 9th, the Northern Chesapeake Symphony Orchestra (NCSO), directed by Dr. Nelson Fritts, will host a “Holiday Concert with the NCSO”.
The program will present a marvelous array of traditional holiday favorites performed by the NCSO String Quartet, String Orchestra and Full Orchestra. Selections will include Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty”, Bruce Chase’s arrangement of “Around the World at Christmas Time”, “A Bach Christmas”, Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival”, Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, and Haydn’s “Kinder (Toy) Symphony.”
The ensemble works in partnership with the Cecil County Arts Council and the NCSO Board of Directors, who represent a number of constituencies in Cecil, Harford and Kent Counties. The full ensemble has 23 players who come from the surrounding Maryland and Delaware areas. The members’ ages range from 12 to 74.
The program will be held in the auditorium at Perryville High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
