Sarah Blystone
Photographer & Mixed Media
Sarah was born in 1993. She received her very first camera in 2007, learning through trial and error how to best capture the beauty of the natural world she so thoroughly enjoys. Ever since she can remember the outdoors has been her favorite place. At a young age Sarah was quoted as saying, “Nature to me, is so special and everything out there is like a rock waiting to be turned over to show off its mysteries underneath.”
Sarah believes too many people don’t notice the amazing plants and creatures that live all around us, therefore one of her goals is to find the things that nobody knows are out there and bring them into focus for the world to see. Sarah loves the macro world and all the wonderful things that inhabit it. As an adult Sarah’s love of nature hasn’t changed one bit. She will still frequently encourage those around her to pause for a moment and take notice of nature’s fleeting beauty, whether it be a sly fox on the prowl for food or the last rays of a glorious sunset. Sarah also exhibits a keen eye and a knack for composition.
Sarah’s work has been featured at the Fayetteville Free Library in Syracuse, New York and The Metamorphosis Wellness Center (formerly Holistic Gateway), in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Sarah’s photography received Honorable Mention and Best in Nature award at the Cecil County Arts Council in November 2017 and recently took third place for her photograph ‘Deep In The Talons’ in the Conowingo Bald Eagle Photo Contest by Exelon.
